The heart of my work: Bridging Science and Soul to Reclaim Your Purpose
This work isn’t about information—it’s about experience, integration, and returning to what’s true.
Who This Is For
This work is designed for conferences, keynote events, retreats, summits, and immersive workshops that are ready to move beyond surface-level growth and into real, embodied change.
It’s especially impactful for:
Leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals navigating pressure, visibility, and responsibility who want to stay grounded and connected to themselves
Wellness practitioners, yoga teachers, and space-holders who want to deepen their understanding of the nervous system, somatics, and trauma-informed care
Organizations and teams who value emotional intelligence, resilience, and human-centered leadership
Individuals on a personal growth or healing path who feel stuck in patterns or disconnected from their body and are ready for a more honest, integrated way of living
This work is experiential, practical, and deeply human—giving people tools they can apply immediately, both personally and professionally.
Marianne Ames
Marianne is a mother, yoga teacher, somatics and nervous system guide, speaker, and founder of Bliss Yoga Studio in Monroe, Washington. Her work bridges nervous system science, embodiment, yoga philosophy, and the wisdom of lived human experience to help people reconnect with the intelligence of their bodies and the truth of who they are.
Her philosophy is rooted in one core belief: “I don’t believe we are broken. I believe we learned how to survive.”
Through trauma-informed education, experiential practices, and honest conversation, Marianne helps individuals build the capacity for self-trust, regulation, embodiment, and belonging. Her approach integrates somatics, vagus nerve regulation, shadow work, embodied leadership, sensuality, and the deeper teachings of yoga in a way that feels grounded, accessible, and deeply human.
Marianne is the creator of Awaken, a 200-hour yoga teacher training, EMERGE, a somatic and nervous system-informed certification, and Awaken Your Bliss retreats and immersions. She is available for keynote speaking, workshops, leadership retreats, and transformational experience.
The Work I Bring
This isn’t about collecting more information; it’s about experience, integration, and the audacious act of returning to what’s true.
The Survival Trap: Moving from Bracing to Being
Let’s stop pathologizing your stress. You aren’t broken, you are a biological masterpiece, adapted for a world that often asks too much, too fast.
In this session, Marianne deconstructs how the nervous system gets locked into survival patterns like overdrive, shutdown, and control—and offers a clear, embodied pathway back to self-trust, awareness, and choice.
This is about moving out of constant bracing, and into a way of living that actually feels like being.
Visible & Unshakable: Staying Grounded in Who You Are Under Pressure
Visibility can feel like a threat to the body. So instead of being seen, many of us perform—especially in leadership, relationships, and high-stakes environments.
Drawing on over twenty years of guiding women into their power, Marianne teaches how to navigate pressure, visibility, and vulnerability without disconnecting from yourself.
This is the work of being fully seen… without leaving your body behind.
The Architecture of Aliveness: Using Movement to Regulate, Express, and Reconnect
Movement is one of the fastest ways back to the truth of who you are.
In this experiential session, Marianne blends somatic intelligence with her yoga roots to help you reconnect with your body’s natural rhythm—using movement as a tool for nervous system regulation, emotional expression, and authentic creation.
This is where science meets soul, and where the body becomes a living pathway back to aliveness.
Shadow & Safety: Integrating the Parts of You You’ve Been Taught to Hide
We spend enormous energy suppressing the parts of ourselves that don’t feel acceptable. But what we avoid doesn’t disappear—it shapes how we show up, lead, connect, and live.
Marianne creates a grounded, honest, and compassionate space to meet these protected parts, understand their role, and begin the process of integration.
This is where internal tension softens, self-rejection shifts into self-understanding, and real freedom begins.
The Body Remembers: Why Insight Isn’t Enough for Real Change
You can understand your patterns, and still feel stuck in them. Because lasting change doesn’t happen through insight alone—it happens through the body.
In this session, Marianne teaches how the nervous system stores experience, how patterns are formed, and why true transformation requires more than mindset work.
This is where you learn to listen differently, to the signals beneath the story, and begin creating change from the inside out.
Regulation in Motion: Simple Tools to Shift Stress in Real Time
When the nervous system is overwhelmed, access to clarity, connection, and creativity disappears.
This session offers simple, practical somatic tools that can be used in real time to regulate stress, reduce overwhelm, and return to a grounded state—whether in a meeting, at home, or in the middle of a challenging moment.
This is regulation that lives in your body, not something you have to leave your life to access.
The Dance of Contraction & Expansion: Building Capacity for Life
Life moves in rhythms—contraction and expansion, effort and ease, activation and rest. But most people get stuck in one side of the cycle, either pushing constantly or shutting down completely.
In this session, Marianne teaches how the nervous system responds to these natural rhythms—and how to build the capacity to stay present through both challenge and growth.
This is about learning to move with your life, instead of bracing against it.
The Art of Staying: Expanding Your Capacity to Be with What Is
Most of us have learned how to leave—through distraction, control, overthinking, or shutdown.
But transformation requires something different: the ability to stay.
In this session, Marianne guides you in building the capacity to remain present with sensation, emotion, and experience—without becoming overwhelmed or disconnected.
This is the practice of staying with your life, staying with yourself, and discovering that you are far more resourced than you’ve been led to believe.
